Hospital Care or Emergencies

Hospital care and 24 hr/day on call service are limited to pregnant women and newborns only. However, upon your request and Dr. Lichtig and Dr. Ehrsam's availability, they will be happy to make arrangements for you to be cared for in the hospital, by the appropriate specialist, or by Prime Doc. Prime Doc is a group of internists and family doctors at Mission St. Joseph's Hospital whose focus is on offering inpatient hospital care to people whose main doctor works only in the outpatient setting. Dr. Lichtig and Dr. Ehrsam will also be happy to be your advocate, smoothing your transition into the hospital setting. If requested, they will help coordinate care among your hospital physicians and help you find clarity when complicated and complex medical needs and decision making arise. The service of arranging for hospitalization or coordinating care amongst your hospital practitioners is offered at $140/hr, billed in 15 minute intervals.
