and ChildrenNewborn Care
Whether your baby is born at home or in the hospital, Dr. Lisa will offer care for your newborn just
after birth. Dr. Lisa will review your birth experience; examine your baby from head to toe, go over
newborn care, including breastfeeding, and support you in caring for your newborn. If born at home,
she will see your baby at 2-5 days of age either at your home or in our office. If born in the hospital,
she will see your baby in the hospital within the first 24 hours and continue to care for your baby on a
daily basis until discharge. If your baby is transferred to the intensive care unit Dr. Lisa will work with
the neonatalogists to ensure that you and your baby are receiving the best care possible.
Infants, Children, and Teenagers
After the initial newborn period, Dr. Lisa is happy to serve your child's ongoing primary care needs or
to simply offer consultations for specific needs, it's your choice. She does not, however, offer hospital
care beyond the newborn period but will refer to doctors at Mission St. Joseph’s if hospital needs arise.
With over 14 yrs experience raising her own two children and being the doctor for many other children,
Dr. Lisa offers ongoing pediatric care designed to accommodate you and your child's special needs and concerns.
With additional training in herbology, nutrition and counseling, Dr. Lisa offers thoughtful alternatives to
antibiotics and other invasive treatments when appropriate. With her down to earth style and experience in
adolescent care, Dr. Lisa has a special interest and gift in working with teenagers.
Immunizations
We do accept babies and children of parents who choose not to immunize their children or prefer to partially
immunize or use a delayed immunization schedule. Dr. Lichtig can also help you design an individualized
immunization schedule and promises mercury free vaccines.
